Photographic Skills

Manual Focus features	x		I learnt how to manage photos manually and how well they look when the camera is in focus and how well the picture looks once it had been changed and how the focus is one of the main things when taking a photo.

Text control	x		I used text control to add text to my front cover, so I could add mastheads and captions on the image like a proper magazine front cover. Made words closer together, and control text on different layers.

First magazine cover

This is my first magazine cover, I was copying from my flat plan. I used a range of different skills on photoshop to complete my magazine. I used alot of layers so everything i put on the front was on a layer so if anything went wrong it could be deleted without deleting everything i had done. I used text control to add text to my front cover and used masthead and captions on the image like a proper magazine front cover. I used this to make the text closer together and add more control over the text on different layers so I could change the look of some of the letters so they were not all the same. I used a filter on my photo to make it stand out more and make it look brighter.
I used shape creation to make shapes go on my front cover and make them have eye catching colours and an interesting quote inside. I used resolution setting control so i used 300 pixels per inch before opening the document so it was clear and had a more professional feel. I used the cropping tool to crop the image if there was a light in the background appearing through if i didn't want it there. Clone tool was used to make the skin all over the same so i copied it and applied it to the correct space.
On my first front cover i needed more guidance to make my final front cover better, and make sure it looked better so i did all this that i have explained with more to make it better and had a move around of some of the text boxes and quotes on the front.

Vampire

This is my vampire i used different photoshop techniques to change the way she looks and to make her scary. I also download some images to add to her face. I used the colour tool, fill tool.

In design DPS so far

Start of in design DPS started to write my article. I used column and I used boxes to add my article in, this is so i knew the exact place where i was going to place my article in. I made sure the background was set up to white so the background looked clear and looked bright white like all magazines do.

Header title photoshop

Header idea for my magazine, to do this i had to use photoshop. I used the T tool then clicked change font so I got a different font style for my header. I then expanded it by 10 so I got an outline around the outside and use the colour fill tool to change the outside to pink, then I used the fx tool to give the header a different slant and different boldness. I am going to use a header like this as I feel it stands out and will stand out of the shelves in the shop.

Women of 2013 are constantly finding new and different cosmetic surgeries they could choose to have, bum implants came around in 2013 and started to get increasingly popular for more people to have them to give them this look of a perfect bum. Having the perfect bum is something people are wanting because of all the pictures having the beast 'peachy bum' they have seen along with all the fitness fanatics showing of there main asset. Although the bum surgery has come around really quick, a lot of the other plastic surgeries are also just as popular, breast implants is the second most popular plastic surgery which was discovered in 2013, where the increase of breast implants grew with astonishing figures. Young girls by the ages of 16-25 are wanting a boob job due to seeing celebrities and seeing people who they look up to when reading magazines are having boob jobs and are giving them more confidence.Young girls are always seeing the increasing quote of 'the perfect boobs' having the perfect breasts is something every girl wants, for boyfriends and also for themselves. They are wanting them to look in shape and perfect from seeing magazines like zoo, and also hearing men speak about the perfect girls in porn and how amazing they look. This is making girls want to look perfect and want them to look amazing.

Are more people getting plastic surgery to look like celebrities?

Women are feeling there is a high popular demand for them to get cosmetic surgery to make them look and feel like a celebrity. Most women choose to get plastic surgery to make them look and feel better about themselves, other women choose to get plastic surgery to make them look like a celebrity and have perfect assets and look perfect. Perfect is the main word when it comes to cosmetic/plastic surgery because that is what every one craves for the perfect nose, lips, breasts, bum, nose, forehead, ears and chin many different facial cosmetics are getting done and a range of operations on the body are getting to create a perfect look for people surrounding them.
